Andrew picked this up over the weekend. The plan is to build a set of axles for it and run 35s at some point. It is a 1991 4.0 5spd with 107k on the clock. It is a great start for the price.
Ground-up Flat Fender Build
So... we are working on a flatty. Well we have wagoneer axles and a Chevy drivetrain, but there will be some flatty. In all reality I'm just building a 4x4 that will look like a jeep. Not much jeep, but still a fun build. Hopefully I can retain the nostalgia of the icon while still having a modern and reliable 4x4. Enjoy!

Another Jeep?!
Just junking up my corner of the world...
If it looks bad, it's because it is. I got another body with it that is actually in great shape. This (and the other tub) is 1953's finest. M38A1 complete with army green paint buried under years of rust, bondo, and orange. The other tub is still green with white stars and all, but I haven't brought it home yet. The reality is, I now have a title and vin# that say willys. The other jeep has been giving me fits (rebuilt motor issues), but it will be on the road soon and needs a title. I will probably salvage some parts off this one before taking it to the recycle yard.

Rebuild Complete... almost.
Sorry for the lapse in updates... I've got the rebuilt motor in! My friend Andrew was a huge help with assembly. Now I get to start over on wiring, change out the fuel pump, redo the fuel lines, change the throttle assembly, built an air tube/cleaner, hook up the transmission lines, build a shift linkage, and... oh yeah, move to our new house! I need to come up with decent storage for the jeep to keep it out of the weather. No jeep updates for at least a couple weeks. Moto trip with the dads is coming up fast.
These are some reference photos of air cleaner space comparing the tbi to the cfsi intake.

Ready to Move
Pretty weak on the updates lately I know. I have been working on the jeep a little despite the approaching move. I've been trying to get it ready for the move actually. Tow bar and as many of the welding projects I could get too before the welder gets packed away. I am rebuilding a TBI motor and right now and that will be the next step to being able to daily drive it. Paint will come eventually, but I have bigger fish to fry for now.
Got the fenders skinned and a rough cut on the hood today.
More cage work....
and the start of my removable mud flaps. I just need some rubber to hang from them. Well, it's off to storage for the jeep until the motor is built.
